In our Nursery environment we created learning areas that addressed the entire Foundation Stage curriculum. The furniture was chosen to be easily accessible for children so that they could extend their own learning.
Our four Reception classroom environments also encourage children to access resources for themselves and use them to further learning.
Having seen the positive impact that open, easy-to-access furniture has had on our Foundation Stage, we took the opportunity to extend this principle to Year 1.
In our Year 2 environment we have again provided a stimulating and interactive environment to encourage and assist our children in their continuing learning journeys.
